Starting Out: Building Becrux Precession

Every company starts somewhere. This is where Becrux Precession starts.

I am building a robotics company focused on precision automation for industrial applications. The first product is a gripper — currently patent pending — designed to handle the specific challenges of large-scale automated installation. The technical work is ongoing, but the foundations are in place: the company is registered, the trademarks are filed, and the intellectual property is being developed.

I am based in Melbourne, Australia, and the plan is to build here first before expanding internationally. Australia is an ideal proving ground — a rapidly growing renewables sector, significant infrastructure investment, and a genuine need for automation solutions that reduce cost, improve safety, and scale with demand.

This blog will trace the journey. The technical development, the market, the conferences and connections, the slow work of building something from nothing. It will be honest about where things stand at each point rather than presenting a polished version of a story still being written.

If you are working in industrial automation, robotics, or large-scale infrastructure and want to connect, reach out at robert@becruxprecession.com.

The work starts now.
